The building on via Oglio, in the south-east outskirt of Milan, is a project Gho' designs in collaboration with the architect Angelo Lingeri. This project can be considered unusual for the Milanese architect, due to the extreme simplicity of the exterior in exposed brick and to the regularity of the elevation composition. The new block replaces a precedent building and follows its traces entirely, occupying the entire triangular shaped site with one block and a courtyard. The final version though, maintains the twentieth century block on the corner between via Oglio and Bessarione.
The layout in plan is quite traditional, with three staircase and lift cores facing the internal courtyard and six apartment each floor. Great importance is given to the fronts, moderately elegant albeit simple: a podium cladded in “Ceppo” panels and modulated by wide on-street shop windows, contrasts with the exposed brick facade. The regularity on the elevations is interrupted in very few and specific points by features such as overhanging areas and loggias, giving the building a clean architectural look. One of the first options, not built, features a peculiar balcony which wraps around the entire top level of the building.
